Legacy of Achievement Foundation and Tremendous! Entertainment Join Forces on Television Programs of the Lives and Lessons of Great Achievers!

MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA - Joan Holman, Director of the Legacy of Achievement Foundation and Colleen Needles, President and CEO of Tremendous! Entertainment, have announced a joint venture for the development and worldwide distribution of television programs featuring the lives and lessons of great achievers.

The Legacy of Achievement Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the creation of an educational library documenting the life stories and wisdom of people of all races who exemplify positive characteristics and accomplishments. The library, will be used in television programs, audio-visual materials, books and other media programs.

The first award-winning Legacy of Achievement television program was developed in association with Twin Cities Public Television and was broadcast on PBS stations nationally. It was featured in Success Magazine and is used in high schools, colleges and corporations throughout the United States. Author, speaker and business leader Harvey Mackay sponsored the first program through his company Mackay Envelope. Among the Minnesotans featured in the first program were Tire Plus entrepreneur Tom Gegax, philanthrophic and educational leader Dr. Reatha Clark King and Rollerblade developer Scott Olson.

Ms. Holman says:

"We need to move from an Age of Celebrities to an Age of Heroes. The fallen idols of our popular culture need to be replaced with true heroes who are embodying such qualities as integrity, honor, service and positive actualization of their dreams and goals to improve themselves, their communities and the world. The Legacy of Achievement™ could be described as a cross between Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous and Biography, only we are featuring unsung heroes. Individuals, especially young people, need to see positive role models who embody positive characteristics, not just the usual celebrities, sports heroes, movie stars and rock stars who always get the limelight."

The original Legacy of Achievement television program was shot on location throughout the country, and included biographical backgrounds and personal interviews as well as a summary of the common characteristics of several high achievers. A television program on Medtronic co-founder and Pacemaker pioneer Earl Bakken is currently in development.

Tremendous! Entertainment is a Minnesota-based creative media company that was founded by award-winning television producer and former news anchor Colleen Needles. It develops, produces and distributes television, home video and music content to broadcasters and retailers around the world.

The Legacy of Achievement Foundation serves under the umbrella of the National Heritage Foundation in Washington, D.C. which has been helping individuals, corporations and communities express themselves in the charitable, educational, scientific and religious sector since 1968.

Sister Rosalind Interview Completed!

The Legacy of Achievement of Sister Rosalind --Masssage pioneer and founder of the Sister Rosalind Schools and Clinics of Massage

Not too long ago, massage was associated with seedy massage parlors. Today, massage is exploding with the number of American adults getting massage doubling from 1997-2002. In 2003, this number grew to over 40 million, along with 260,000+ massage therapists and massage students.

Sister Rosalind Gefre has been widely recognized for her work in making massage an accepted healthcare practice. Her first massage center, opened in 1983, was shut down by the Vice Squad. A St. Paul Pioneer Press newspaper story "Nun's Massage Parlor Closed" was picked up by the media around the world. Continued publicity has brought celebrity status to Sister Rosalind. In 2002, she was featured in the Time Magazine story "Massage Goes Mainstream." Her growing "Massage Ministry" includes five massage school and seven massage clinics in two states. Over 10,000 people have attended her schools and hundreds of thousands have received massages because of her pioneering work.

Please help us preserve the legacy of great achievers! We are seeking financial contributions, pro bono video/film production services, stories and ideas about those you feel are leaving a great legacy!
